MY STORY
She begins her professional education with classical ballet and modern dance in her hometown Genoa (Italy) .
At the age of 18 she participates at the dance competition “Danza&State” where she wins a scholarship to study at the Academy Balletto di Toscana-Opus Ballet in Florence.
There she studied for 2 years becoming a dancer member of the Junior BDT and the Opus Ballet Company, having the chance to work with choreographers as Mauro Bigonzetti , Fabrizio Monteverde and Daniel Tinazzi .
In 2003 she leaves Italy for France where she meets the choreographer Dominique Lesdema.
With him she refines her education and she will integrates his modern company in Paris “Kinetic”.
In the same period she also worked as dancer with the choreographers Carl Portal, Christine Dodelande, Cie Alexandrov and Magalie Lesueur.
Since 2010 Rossana is living in Amsterdam.
Here she starts working as Freelancer with different choreographers as Corneliu Ganea, Sagi Gross, Lonneke van Leth and for the modern circus company « Bencha Theater » .
In 2011 she becomes member of the company ‘Internationaal Dans Theater » based in Amsterdam.
She collaborates with many guest choreographers as Vasco Wellenkamp, Neel Veerdoorn , Alida Dors.
In these past years she choreographed and performed together with Melodie Joinville (Cie La Tarbasse-France) her duet "2/Time" and she starts her collaboration with the company "Anthrop" directed by Melissa Ellberger in Switzerland.
She keeps on developing her work as teacher.
She's been regular contemporary and ballet teacher at Amsterdam Dance Center and Chasse Dance Studio (Holland), ballet and contemporary for the professional program "5O'clock"of the Theater School of Amsterdam and guest teacher in Germany France Greece and Italy.

LA MIA STORIA
Comincia la sua formazione professionale con la danza classica e moderna nella sua citta’ natale Genova .
All’eta’ di 18 anni partecipa alla competizione per giovani talenti «Danza&state» classificandosi seconda e ottenendo l’assegnazione di una borsa di studio presso l’Accademia Balletto di Toscana e Opus Ballet a Firenze.
Restera’ due anni approfondendo i suoi studi integrando come ballerina la compagnia dello Junior BdT e dell’Opus Ballet realizzando le sue prime esperienze lavorative con diversi importanti coreografi come Mauro Bigonzetti, Fabrizio Monteverde e Daniel Tinazzi.
Nel 2003 decide di lasciare l’Italia per la Francia dove incontrera’ il coreografo Dominique Lesdema.
Con lui perfezionera’ la sua tecnica integrando la sua compagnia moderna a Parigi «Kinetic». Sempre in Francia avra’ l’opportunita’ di danzare per coreografi come Carl Portal, Christine Dodelande, Cie Alexandrov, Magalie Lesueur.
Nel 2010 si trasferisce in Olanda, cominciando a collaborare come freelancer con diversi coreografi come Corneliu Ganea (Romania), Sagi Gross (Israele), Lonneke van Leth (Olanda) e la compagnia acrobatica/moderna «Bencha Theater».
Nel 2011 entrera’ a far parte della compagnia contemporanea «Internationaal Dans Theater» basata ad Amsterdam, danzando per coreografi europei come Vasco Wellenkamp, Neel Veerdoorn, Alida Dors.
In questi ultimi anni ha coreografato e ballato in piu festival in Francia il duetto "2/TIME" insieme alla sua partner lavorativa Melodie Joinville (Cie La Tarbasse) .
Ha cominciato una nuova collaborazione con la coreografa Melissa Ellberger integrando la sua compagnia in Svizzera "Anthrop".
Continua a sviluppare il suo lavoro come insegnate.
E' stata per anni docente fissa di contemporaneo e classico presso l’Amsterdam Dance Center ,il Chasse Dance Stdio e per il programma per giovani studenti "5 O'clock"presso l’Accademia del Teatro di Amsterdam.
E' insegnante ospite in Francia, Grecia, Italia e Germania .

My Vision
I've had the chance to not have only teachers but real mentors who pushed me further every day in the studio, taking the time to get to know me and understand where I wanted to go.
This is the reason why I feel that being a teacher is so much more than simply teaching a technique or a dance combination.
It's a real commitment.
It's about transmitting,communicating,sharing but also listening and understanding.
This is my vision and my personal goal as a teacher.
I always thought you can see a good teacher from his work inside the studio but even more outside.
I hope to have the chance to give back what I received as a student which completely changed my life.

«Every movement has its rhythm, therefore it is the hidden soul of the movement.
Music has the ability to touch ours inner rhythm and conditioning our emotionality.
Dance is music, how music is dance.
To dance you need to learn to understand the signals that the music emits so as to adapt to them their movements
in a universal language. "

The class start with a warming up mainly on the floor focusing on the weight
of the head which gives directions and shape movement.
I continue with some technical exercises to develop
the way we use the weight of our body in space .
In this constant game of holding and releasing the muscles,we learn how to use the center paying a particular attention to the support of the abdominal fascia.
This lead to a serie of diagonales where we push further the dynamics traveling even more in space and working also on our stamina condition.
In the last part of the class,we work on choreographic material. Through improvisation exercises
we focus on developing a personal
choreographic vocabulary.

«Ogni movimento ha il suo ritmo,
pertanto esso è l'anima nascosta del movimento. La musica ha la capacità di toccare il nostro ritmo interiore e condizionarne la nostra emotività.
La danza è musica ,come la musica e’danza.
Per danzare è necessario imparare a comprendere i segnali che la musica emette così da adeguare ad essi i propri movimenti dando voce cosi ad un linguaggio universale.»

La classe comincia con un primo riscaldamento al suolo risvegliando progressivamente le articolazioni del corpo.
Ci si concentra prevalentemente sull’uso del peso della testa introducendo l’importanza delle direzioni nello spazio e la dinamica del movimento.
Si continua con un seguirsi di esercizi tecnici per potenziare il centro del corpo, proseguendo l’analisi del peso delle singole articolazioni.
E’ un gioco costante tra tenuta e rilascio che ci permettera’ di sviluppare il controllo della fascia addominale e l’uso dello spazio circostante.
Attraverso alcuni esercizi a coppia o di gruppo si introduce un primo lavoro di contact e partnering dove ancora una volta la consapevolezza del nostro corpo e’ essenziale.
L’ultima sessione e’ rivolta a un laboratorio coreografico e la creazione attraverso esercizi di improvvisazione
di un proprio linguaggio personale .
